Former Allegheny County Executive James Roddey will host a continuing speaker series this week titled ‘Growing Butler.’
The event is planned for Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Conley Resort in Penn Township and will bring together the region’s top experts on cyber-security.
Cybersecurity is a huge issue for businesses all over the world with some businesses taking a risk-based approach to cybersecurity for an alternative perspective in some cases. Consequently, an increasing number of companies rely on high volumes of data and often use large quantities of digital files on a daily basis. Protecting these files is therefore of incredible importance.
This is especially important if they work in an industry that handles very sensitive information. This is why financial industry compliance and data protection laws for law firms are so scrutinous because the clients must know that their data and information is safe with the businesses they trust it with.
To protect their files and data, large businesses use Quality Network Appliance Providers. Essentially, these are companies that provide network-attached storage and storage area network systems. If ever a company encounters any issues with these systems, it is the job of QNAP data recovery specialists to identify any problems and to put them right.
At this event, speakers include former U.S. Attorney Dave Hickton, FBI Cyber Security Division Unit Chief Christopher Geary, and Consolidated Communications Director of Sales Jason Hanlon.
Topics will include secure data recovery, cybersecurity, and other internet and technology-related matters.
The series is presented, in part, by the Butler County Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $10 per person and seating is limited. To register or for more information, call the chamber at 724-283-2222.
