Ronald J. “Mick” Stutz, 68, of Cabot, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a 20 month battle with cancer.
He was born September 23, 1955 in Butler, a son of the late Ralph Stutz and Evelyn (Wood) Stutz.
Mick was graduate of Butler High School graduate, class of 1973. He was the owner and operator of Ron Stutz Construction, which he established in 1978.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, also the R.C. Mens Club, the Turbo Diesel Registry and was a life member of the Happy Hunters. An outdoorsman, Mick loved hunting, hiking, biking and canoeing. He was an avid magazine reader, was a car and truck enthusiast and enjoyed watching the eagles while at camp. Mick was a friend to everyone he met.
His family would like to thank the Doctor’s and Nurses at the Hillman Cancer Center and at UPMC Shadyside Hospital for their care.
Surviving is his daughter, Faith (Rob) Wells.
His son, Brian Stutz.
His two granddaughters, Alyse and Piper Wells.
His siblings: Kevin (Gina) Stutz, Susan (Bill) Snyder, Rodney Stutz and Lauren (Jerry) Roy.
His companion, Kathy Stutz and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Stutz.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 am, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. The Rev. Matt McClain to officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
