Ronald Joseph.(Ron) Braun, age 90 of Renfrew, Pennsylvania passed away on,Saturday, February 27, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family .
Born December 10, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Braun and Agnes (Teschke) Braun.
Ron graduated from New Castle High School in 1950, and honorably served as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was baptized into the Catholic Faith, and also faithfully attended St. Andrews U.P. Church in Butler.
Ron was employed for 41 years by Bell Telephone. He was a member of The American Legion, BPOE Elks, and participated in various bowling and golf leagues. Ron was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
He was the loving husband of Joanne Braun for 33 years since marriage in 1988. Ron was the father of Margie (Terry) Manuel of Ambridge, Rich Braun of Butler, David Braun of Mercer, and his step-daughters, Dee (Dickie) Baker, and Mary Jo (Chuck) Oberste of Arkansas. Ron was the proud grandfather of one grandson, Nathan (Amber) Mauuel of Allison Park, and anticipated the birth of his first great grandchild in July.
Ron is also survived by his brother-in-law, Don Lewis of Pulaski and nieces Linda Meyers, and Debbie (Jerry) Farrell, and his nephew Donnie (Debbie) Lewis.
Ron is also survived by the mother of his children, Marge Bankert of Butler and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Lewis of Pulaski.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Services are private. Military honors will be provided by the Butler Veterans Honor Guard.
Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
