Ronald L. Vavro, 84, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 18, 2024 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 22, 1939, to the late Henry T. Vavro and the late Josephine T. (Catizone) Vavro.
Ronald graduated from Butler High School, where he was in the band and played drums. He served in the U.S. Army during the Post-Korean War Peace Keeping Activities. He was an active member of St. Andrews (All Saints Parish) Roman Catholic Church and was a Board Member for Sing Hosanna. Ronald worked as a computer operator at ServiStar. He liked to upholster furniture and was co-owner of Vavro Creative Decorating. Ronald was soccer coach, a pack leader for his son’s Cub Scout Troop, and a band parent. He also took pride in maintaining his pool.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Janice S. Vavro, who he married on June 29, 1963; one daughter, Heather L. Vavro; and one son, Kirby L. Vavro.
Per his wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
