Ronald “Ron” Leary

Ronald “Ron” Leary, 81, of Valencia passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. He was born in Derry, PA on April 3, 1943, to the late James and Betty (Blair) Leary. Ron attended Derry High School where he played trumpet in the marching band and later graduated from Butler Area School.  He honorably served for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at ARMCO for 25 years until he retired. Ron was known for being a good husband, brother and friend, he was described as being hardworking and funny. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working out and weightlifting. Ron was the beloved husband of Janet (Kelley) Leary, since their marriage almost 40 years ago; brother of James (Karen) Leary; uncle of numerous nephews, and he is also survived by his beloved dog, Lucy.
