Rose Hnatko, 99, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 31, 1924 in Highfield, a daughter of the late Paul and Katherine (Philipchuk) Boss.
Rose had worked at Montgomery Wards in Butler and also was an investigator for the Butler Credit Bureau. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox in Lyndora, where she had baked and cooked pierogies and had helped prepare funeral luncheons. She was also a member of AARP.
Surviving is her daughter, Patricia Ann Hnatko of Butler.
Also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hnatko, whom she married May 16, 1964, he passed away January 6, 2010; also 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora. The Rev. Yurii Bobko, Pastor will officiate. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.
Parastas services will be at 4:00 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
