Rose Monteleone Wagner, age 102, of Butler, passed away Thursday, October 5, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Butler on December 5, 1914, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Monteleone.
Rose was married in Butler to Walter C. Wagner, Sr., who passed away July 6, 1966.
She was a lifelong member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Rose worked for 23 years at the Spaide Shirt Factory in Butler.
She loved to shop.
She is survived by one son, Walter C. Wagner, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Butler; one daughter, Dolores Litz and her husband, Joe, of Butler; two grandsons, Christian Wagner, of Holdrege, Nebraska, and David Litz, of Butler; two granddaughters, Susan Aldas and her husband, Michael, of Mesquite, Texas, and Cindi Perri and her husband, Richard, of Butler; and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Doronzo and her husband, Michael, of Carrollton, Texas.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Isovitsch, and two brothers, Patsy Monteleone and Dominick Monteleone, all of Butler.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
