The Pennsylvania Speaker of the House is outlining his plans when members reconvene later this month.
Speaker Mark Rozzi says his goal is to move forward with a bill to help victims of childhood sexual abuse.
“When we return to session on February 21st, I will keep my promise to survivors of childhood sexual assault and bring up a constitutional amendment and a statutory bill. Both which will provide a window to justice and desperately needed relief to victims,” Rozzi said.
Rozzi says he’s pursuing two ways to make the reform. He believes voters have a right to make their voice heard on a constitutional amendment.
He also says passing a bill would allow the law to possibly be enacted by March.
