The Butler Road Race returns this weekend.
The 48th edition of the race is back to its traditional summertime slot after moving to the fall last year due to road construction.
The race consists of two categories: the five mile and 2K events.
Runners will register and begin the race at Diamond Park at 9 a.m.
Drivers should be aware that Main Street will be shut down from 8 a.m. to about noon—or when the race ends.
Officials say the race is on rain or shine. Runners can also sign up for the event tomorrow morning.
Proceeds from the Butler Road Race benefit the Butler YMCA.
