Ruth Ann Stirling, 79, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital after contracting the COVID-19 virus.
Born October 28, 1941, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Naneff) Madish.
Ruth was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and family was very important to her. A homemaker, she was also the longtime bookkeeper and secretary for her husband’s business, Gary L. Stirling Painting.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary, whom she married July 29, 1961.
Also surviving are her son, Gary Jr. (Rusty) and his wife, Maria; six sisters, Nancy Cindrich, Monaca; Rosemary (Brian) Barker, TN; Susan Davis, Monaca; Shirley (Jim) Shaffer, Beaver Falls; Diane Chirico, Beaver; Julie (Wayne) Gibson, Chippewa Twp; one brother, Nick Madish, Beaver; a sister-in-law, Peggy Madish, Industry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Madish, Jr., and John Madish, and two brother-in-laws, Chi Davis, and Frank Chirico, and her nephew, Paul Davis.
There will be no public visitation.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family
A private burial will take place at North Washington Cemetery.
