Ryan Joseph Osche, 46, of Petrolia, PA, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on August 31, 1978, in Butler, PA, to Gary and Leona (Peplowski) Osche.
Ryan graduated from Butler High School in 1996. He then decided to enlist in the Marines, where he proudly served his country for four years. He went on to work for the Mercer County Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer. Ryan was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, as well as the American Legion Post #117. He enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, as well as spending time with his loving family.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Gary E. Osche and Leona E. Osche; his daughter, Rylee Osche; his son, Liam Osche; his step-daughter, Samantha Shuler; his sister, Jennifer (Bill) Hockenberry; as well as by numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Osche, Margaret Osche; John Peplowski, and Leonora Peplowski; as well as his aunts, Ann Lopiccolo, Joann Collins, and Carole Boice.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Friday, January 31, 2025, at St. Wendelin Church – St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler, PA 16002, with Father Al Morris officiating. A Military Service with Full Honors will be held directly after the Mass of Christian Burial at the Church.
