The South Butler School District has awarded the contract for a paving project that will begin later this month.
By unanimous vote during Wednesday’s school board meeting, the board approved the only bid received for the project from Wiest Asphalt and Paving at a cost of $55,600.
This milling, filling and paving project will include the areas of the driving lane directly in front of the high school main entrance to the cement pad where the dumpsters sit. Also, there will be patching done in three places in the high school teachers’ parking lot, as well as the area from the ramp to the football field to the front of the maintenance garage.
The proposed start date for the project is Monday, July 22 and it is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting.
