The Salvation Army is in danger of falling short of their fundraising goal for the 28 counties in Western Pennsylvania.
More than $1.6 million of the $2.345 million goal has been raised which works out to just under 75%.
Money collected will be used for feeding programs, rent and utility assistance, seasonal assistance, youth empowerment, and spiritual programs. Although donations have been down this year, the local need for these services has increased.
Donations can be made to red kettles up until Saturday but they will not be out on the 24th.
Donations can also be made online at any time.
