Sarah “Cookie” Oskin, 74, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Embassy of Saxonburg.
She was born on June 23, 1950, in Butler, to Sarah (Edgar) McIntyre and the late William McIntyre.
Sarah graduated from Knoch High School in 1968 and worked as a School Bus Driver for 22 years. She also took great pride in being a homemaker for her loving family. She was a member of Sisters in Christ for Thorn Creek United Methodist Church and the matriarch of KISTMYWIHA Lodge in Driftwood. Sarah was a master seamstress, loved cooking for her family and friends, shopping, and spending time with her loving family and labrador retrievers.
Sarah is survived by her three sons, Larry (Brandy) Oskin, Jr., Stephen (Bikem) Oskin, and David (Coleen) Oskin; her eight grandchildren, Allee, Kaelyn, Hunter, Gabrielle, Caleb, Isaac, Izabella, and William; her brother, William (Janet) McIntyre, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Karen (Howard) Bryan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Sarah was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Larry E. Oskin, whom she married on March 26, 1970; as well as her sister-in-law, Suzanne Conner.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at The Grove at Thorn Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Rockdale Road, Butler, PA 16002, with Pastor Todd Ciarimboli, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
