Fans of a longtime children’s television show are encouraging people to show some extra kindness and add an extra layer Saturday.
Saturday is known as Cardigan Day—which was started by WQED in Pittsburgh in honor of Fred Rogers, who wore a red cardigan sweater during his show.
November 13th was picked to coincide with World Kindness Day and also King Friday XIII, who rules over the Mr. Roger’s Land of Make Believe.
A celebration will be held outside the WQED building in Pittsburgh from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. But, if you can’t make it in-person to the event, you can still wear a cardigan and show a little kindness to everyone.
