Girls’
Karns City faces Chestnut Ridge in the District 5-8-9 sub-regional championship game at noon at Penn West Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium.
Montieau faces Redbank Valley in the District 9 Class 2A championship game at 2PM.
North Catholic faces Blackhawk in the WPIAL Class 4A championship game at 3PM at Petersen Events Center.
College Basketball
Pitt (21-9, 14-5 Conf.) will visit Miami (23-6, 14-5 Conf.) Saturday night at 6PM. Pitt will at least share the ACC title with a victory and receive a double “bye” for the conference tournament.
The BC3 men’s basketball team will meet Sandhills in the Mid-Atlantic Junior College tournament Saturday in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Pioneers (20-3) are the Region 20 champion and the Sandhills (27-3) are the Region 10 champion.
