The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that there are now over 10,000 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.
As of Saturday afternoon, there were 10,017 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the Commonwealth. Locally, Butler County’s number of cases reached a total of 84 according to data from the Department of Health.
According to Butler Health System, 11 patients are currently being treated for COVID-19 symptoms at Butler Memorial Hospital. Nine of those cases are COVID-19 confirmed and seven are suspected. There are three patients in the ICU as of Sunday morning.
Clarion Hospital is treating four patients for COVID-19. Three cases at the facility have been confirmed, and one patient is in ICU.
A total of 136 people have died from COVID-19 in Pennsylvania, which includes two people in Butler County.
There have also been 60,013 negative tests confirmed in the state.
Officials at the Butler Health System say they have an adequate supply of personal protective equipment, but are still encouraging all donations, including face masks and face shields. You can email covid19donations@butlerhealthsystem.org to arrange a donation of PPE.
