A Saxonburg man is in the Armstrong County Jail after he allegedly assaulted a baby.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 23-year-old Jacob Rupert was taken into custody yesterday morning after allegedly beating his former girlfriend’s 11-month-old child.
Police charged Rupert with an incident stemming from April at a home in Kiski Township. Charging documents accuse Rupert of beating the child so severely, she had multiple vertebrae fractures, bruising, and swelling to her face.
Police did add that they believe the assaults happened on multiple occasions.
Rupert is due in court next week.
