Firefighters in Saxonburg had an unusual call to respond to yesterday.
Crews were called to help rescue a hawk out of a tree on North Pike Road in Winfield Township. Officials say the bird was tangled in kite string in the tree.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission had asked the Saxonburg VFC to help with the rescue.
The bird was taken to a rehab facility, but was reportedly in good health otherwise.
