Authorities have apprehended a suspect accused of setting a North Buffalo Township home on fire earlier this weekend.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, authorities were called to a domestic incident at a residence on Bunker Hill Road just before 1pm on Saturday. Officials say that during their response, 20-year-old Joseph Hawk allegedly set the residence on fire and fled the scene.
Police later utilized resources from several local departments, including K-9 units and aviation, to locate Hawk. The attempts were initially unsuccessful.
Officials say that just after 7am on Sunday, authorities were called back to the scene after receiving reports that Hawk had returned.
Authorities say that Hawk then barricaded himself in a tree house before peacefully surrendering. He was then taken to the Armstrong County Jail, where his bail was set at $150,000.
