A medical marijuana dispensary in Butler will hold an open house this weekend and will be open for business in February.
That has some concerned about security. Pittsburgh-based Dagostino Electronic Services designed and installed all the security and surveillance at Cresco Yeltrah’s medical marijuana dispensary on Pillow Street in Butler.
“The security system is a unified security platform,” Security Manager Mark Gillenberger told Butler Radio in an interview. “We control all access in and out, and around the facility.”
Gillenberger says the information of everyone that drives up to the dispensary, walks around it or steps foot inside will be stored for four years.
A guard will be stationed inside the dispensary at all times. There is also another layer of security before any patient can access the showroom floor to look at the different types of products available.
All the marijuana inventory will be kept in the back office in vaults.
Cresco Yeltrah will hold an open house on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can meet the staff and tour the dispensary. Officials say you don’t need a medical marijuana ID card to attend the open house.
The dispensary is expected to be open for business by mid-February. They might possibly join in on the industries new trend of online deliveries, maybe one day you’ll find it if you search for a dispensary near me.
