Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Casey says he received the diagnosis last month.
In a press release, Casey said “While this news came as a shock, I can report that I have an excellent prognosis, as well as the benefit of exceptional medical care.”
Casey says that he will be undergoing surgery in the coming months, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Casey also expressed confidence that he’ll be able to continue his serving in the Senate while undergoing treatment.
