A federal lawmaker from Pennsylvania has been named to a position that deals with foreign and national security policy.
U.S. Senator Bob Casey recently announced that he has been named to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
This committee was created by the Senate in 1976 to provide oversight of intelligence programs as well as assurance that all activities conform to the Constitution and laws of the United States. Casey previously served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2007 to 2013.
Casey is also serving as Chairman of Senate Special Committee on Aging as well as a senior member of the Senate Finance and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committees.
