Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey is encouraged that a new infrastructure bill could pass Congress.
The Republican spoke to members of the Pennsylvania Press Club earlier this week and said the latest bipartisan negotiations were trending in the right direction.
“I think there’s a better than even chance that something gets done in this space, when you have 11 Republicans on board with 10 or 11 Democrats, that’s a significant sign that this could pass the Senate,” Toomey said.
Toomey said he wants the bill to focus on traditional infrastructure and also will not vote for any new taxes.
