Pennsylvania’s new Attorney General has been approved for the final two years of current Governor Josh Shapiro’s term.
After serving for two months as interim Attorney General, Michelle Henry was approved by the Republican-controlled State Senate as the top law enforcement official in the state.
Henry has served as the top deputy for Shapiro since 2017 and began her career as an intern in the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.
In Pennsylvania, the Attorney General leads a staff of several hundred prosecutors, attorneys, investigators, agents, and support staff in offices across the state in the Criminal Law, Public Protection, Civil, and Operations Divisions.
