The nominee to lead the Department of Environmental Protection officially got the stamp of approval this week.
The Pennsylvania State Senate voted to confirm Richard Negrin as the secretary of the DEP.
Negrin had been the acting secretary of the department since Governor Josh Shapiro was sworn-in back in January.
Negrin was previously a city manager in Philadelphia.
