A local high school student has achieved a rare level of perfection on a pair of common tests.
Seneca Valley senior Liam Volk-Klos recently scored a perfect 1600 on his SAT along with another perfect 36 on his ACT.
It’s estimated that out of the two million students that take the SATs each year, only 500 nationwide get a perfect score.
“I want to thank all my teachers, the English and math teachers I’ve had; Mrs. Mihalik, Mrs. Armor, Mrs. Kerr, Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Ruggeri; I couldn’t have done this without them. I also want to thank both my mom and my dad. My dad got me into reading which I attribute much of my success,” Volk-Klos said.
Seneca Valley officials say that when you combine the perfect scores on both college entrance exams—less than one percent of students have earned such honors.
