The amount of revenue the state brought in during September was slightly less than expectations.
The Department of Revenue announced that collections totaled $4.2 billion last month.
This is nearly 1% less than anticipated however the year-to-date collections remain slightly more than anticipated.
Sales tax receipts continue to be the main driver of revenue, bringing in $1.2 billion in September which is about $16 million below estimate. Personal income tax revenue was $1.6 billion and corporation tax revenue was just over $993 million. The Motor License Fund which includes gas taxes collected nearly $240 million last month, also slightly less than anticipated but the yearly total remains 6% over estimate.
