Officials in the Seven Fields Borough say they are continuing to look at ways to reshape their police department.
Following the resignations of a couple full-time officers, the borough was left with just three police officers who are covering Seven Fields and Evans City.
Borough officials say they have scheduled interviews with multiple candidates next week to fill the position.
But, the borough has also issued a “scope of services” proposal that looks to partner with another municipality for police services.
Officials in Seven Fields say the current partnership with Evans City is not feasible. They are hoping to hear from interested municipalities over the next few weeks and will then determine a move after considering those options.
