Another round of severe weather hit Butler County again this afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning around 12:30 for southwestern Butler County. Winds around 50 miles per hour were reported as part of the system along with heavy rain.
Other parts of the county were also impacted—including areas near Muddy Creek Township, where there were multiple reports of trees and wires down.
At one point more than 1,500 West Penn customers were without power in Butler County.
There is a possibility of more severe weather later throughout the day.
