Governor Josh Shapiro has joined a multistate lawsuit after funding for public health was cut.
On March 25, several Pennsylvania health agencies were informed about funding grants being terminated.
Pennsylvania has joined 22 states and the District of Columbia lawsuit claiming that health grants help prevent the spread of diseases such as the Hi-Path Avian Influenza and measles.
This decision by the Trump Administration also terminates the Long-Term Care RISE program which provides funding to county and municipal health departments to enhance senior care.
Last month the Governor successfully sued the Trump Administration over $2.1 billion of allocated federal funding not given.
