Pennsylvania has been ranked as the Best-in-the-Nation when it comes to repairing bridges and Governor Josh Shapiro was in the area to celebrate.
On Monday, the Governor visited the Neville Island Bridge to celebrate repairs recently completed over the major highway bridge. Along with millions secured in state funding for new state infrastructure to maintain roads and bridges.
According to the Federal Highway Administration, Pennsylvania had the largest improvement of any state in the country with over 200 bridges repaired or replaced.
So far in 2024 Pennsylvania has had over 4,100 miles of roads improved with work advancing on more than 360 state and local bridges.
This past August Shapiro announced another $51 million investment into supporting 66 infrastructure projects across 32 counties.
