Governor Josh Shapiro has announced a new energy plan that he says will the lead the Commonwealth to remain a national energy leader.
Yesterday at the Pittsburgh International airport the governor announced the Lightning Plan.
The plan would create an energy projects board to streamline projects. It would also provide a tax credit for clean energy, reliable energy, and aviation energy to build in Pennsylvania.
This policy will also build on previous Shapiro policies including the PACER and PRESS plan which focus on environmental protections as energy production ramps up.
Finally, the plan looks to lower costs for both rural and nonrural households with tax rebate programs and equipment to reduce reliance on utility companies.
