Sherry L. McFarren, 67, of Fenelton, went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, December 4, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore while in the company of her loving family.
Sherry was born in Butler on July 20, 1955. She was the daughter of Georgia “Peg” Barnhart Morrow of Fenelton and the late Lewis D. Morrow.
She was a 1973 graduate of Karns City Area High School and had been employed by State Farm for many years. Sherry was a long time active member of the Fenelton United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, visiting the beach at Ft. Lauderdale, spending time at the family pool and sitting around campfires at home. Sherry was a loving, caring person with a big heart.
In addition to her mother, Sherry is survived by her husband, Edward G. “Ed” McFarren, whom she married in Butler on April 21, 2016. Also surviving are three brothers, Terry Morrow and his wife, Cindy, Randy Morrow and his wife, Rose, and Chris Morrow and his wife, Nichole; two sisters, Susan Stephenson and her husband, Tim, and Stacey Martonik and her fiancé, Ed; three nieces, Jill Morrow and her friend, Josh, Jen Slagle and her husband, David, and Emma Morrow; her nephews, Grant Morrow and his wife, Ashley, Tyler Walters and his wife, Kelly, Lucas Morrow and his wife, Blake, and Cameron Wagner; four great nephews, Cash and Oakley Morrow, Layton Barney, and Levi Morrow; two step nieces, Brandy Waldroup and Misty Jordan, as well as a number of cousins, and McFarren family brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Martonik.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from Noon-3 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Harriet Hutton, pastor of the Fenelton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut.
