Shirley Lucille Blauser Pearce, 89, of Oneida Valley Rd., Emlenton, Allegheny Twp., Butler County, peacefully entered into her eternal rest at the home of her daughter surrounded by her husband and family. Shirley leaves a legacy of love, faith, and service.
Shirley was born in Allegheny Twp., Butler County, near Parker on December 13, 1934. She was the daughter of the late James P. and Bessie Seth Blauser.
She was a 1952 graduate of Parker High School and was a long time devoted member of the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy. In 1990 Shirley served as the head fundraiser for the new church building project and was faithfully devoted to the church’s many activities. She had a keen interest in genealogy and was a loving homemaker.
Shirley is survived by her husband of more than 70 years, Robert H. Pearce, whom she married in San Francisco, CA on October 13, 1953. The couple had celebrated 70 years of marriage with family and friends in 2023. In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children and their spouses, Teresa K. and Jack L. Sallee, Susan L. and David C. Page, S. Diane Yeany Bowser and Matthew L. Bowser, James E. and Donna J. Pearce, R. Andrew and Rhonda L. Pearce, N. Kris Turner Reedy and Scott L. Reedy, and Charles D. and Mellisha A. Pearce; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; a brother-in-law, Tom; a sister-in-law, Shirley, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Shirley was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by 12 siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Isaac Yeany, a son-in-law, Paul Yeany II, as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy, 126 McKee Rd., Parker. A funeral service will follow from the church at 11 a.m. with Shirley’s son-in-law, Bishop Jack Salee and Bishop Jay Croyle, Church of God of Prophecy pastors, officiating.
