Shutout wins for local Volleyball teams in PIAA openers

PIAA Girls Volleyball First Round:
–Freeport shutout Corry 3-0 in Class 2A. The Yellow Jackets will meet Quaker Valley in the Quarterfinal Round Saturday.
–North Catholic shutout Latrobe 3-0 in the Class 3A First Round. The Lady Trojans get Hollidaysburg in the Quarterfinals Saturday.
–Pine-Richland and North Allegheny will both first round shutout winners. The Rams shutout McDowell and will meet Unionville Saturday. The Tigers shutout State College and will face Hempfield from Eastern Pennsylvania Saturday.
