Preparations are almost complete for Homecoming festivities at Slippery Rock University.
Friday will feature a pep rally at 8 p.m. on The Quad with this year’s theme of “Haunted Homecoming”. Events for alumni on Friday include an alumni employee breakfast, the SRU Communication and Media Symposium, and a Distinguished Alumni Dinner.
Saturday morning kicks off with the homecoming parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Slippery Rock. The parade will feature the SRU marching band, candidates for Homecoming royalty, and floats decorated by student organizations.
Alumni will have the opportunity to tour campus throughout the weekend and also take in sporting events—highlighted by a matchup between The Rock and Cal football teams at 1 p.m. Saturday.
