Preparations are almost complete for Homecoming festivities at Slippery Rock University.
A pep rally on the Quad is planned for 2 p.m. today with this year’s theme of “Rock Vegas”.
Friday events will include an alumni employee breakfast, the SRU Communication and Media Symposium, Hall of Fame Ceremony and Alumni Mixer as well as a Distinguished Alumni Dinner.
Saturday morning kicks off with the homecoming parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Slippery Rock. The parade will feature the SRU marching band, candidates for Homecoming royalty, and floats decorated by student organizations.
Alumni will have the opportunity to tailgate and visit the campus throughout the weekend and also take in sporting events—highlighted by a matchup between The Rock and Gannon football teams at 1 p.m. Saturday.
