Preparations are almost complete for Homecoming festivities at Slippery Rock University.
Friday will feature a pep rally at 8 p.m. on The Quad with this year’s theme of “Feeling ‘22”. Events for alumni on Friday include an employee breakfast, the SRU Communication and Media Hall of Fame, and a Distinguished Alumni Dinner.
Saturday morning kicks off with the homecoming parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Slippery Rock. The parade will feature the SRU marching band, candidates for Homecoming royalty, and floats decorated by student organizations.
Alumni will have the opportunity to tour campus throughout the weekend and also take in sporting events—highlighted by a matchup between The Rock and Gannon football teams at 1 p.m. Saturday.
