Thanks to support from the community, the Butler Radio Network was able to collect more than 200 pairs of socks for this year’s “Socks For Seniors campaign.”
The socks were delivered Tuesday to the Butler Meals on Wheels program. They will be included with meals given out this week.
“Socks For Seniors” was started in Columbus, Ohio in 2002 to help seniors keep their feet warm in the winter. It has since spread nationwide and is done around the holidays, which can be a particularly difficult time for seniors.
