The South Butler Community Library is launching an Endowment Fund Drive with a special event later this week.
The campaign launch event is planned for Thursday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. at the library.
Honorary Chairman and co-founder of II-VI Incorporated Carl Johnson will provide information on the endowment and refreshments will be served. Volunteers will solicit donations to the campaign over the next six months.
The campaign has a goal of $1 million and the Library Board of Trustees has already deposited $200,000 in the fund. The South Butler Community Library serves Clinton, Buffalo, Jefferson, Penn, and Winfield Townships as well as Saxonburg Borough.
