The latest contract negotiation session between the South Butler School Board and their teachers’ association was of a substantial length but the subject of the talks will not be made public.
According to Board solicitor Tom Breth, the two sides last met face to face Thursday, November 30th for between four and four and a half hours.
At this stage of discussions, both sides agreed that the subject of this round of negotiations will remain confidential. In the past, both the School Board and the teachers’ association have provided public updates on the content of talks. Topics of recent contention have been wages, healthcare, and post-employment benefits.
The next negotiation session is scheduled for Thursday, December 14th. The district has been without a teacher contract for over three and a half years.
