The newly formed Southern Butler County Business Association is hosting their first gathering later this week.
The association is planning a mixer for Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Stick City Brewing Company in Mars.
The free event will include complementary appetizers, a cash bar, and a Mexican food truck as well as opportunities for networking.
The goal of the group and 15-member board is to help “champion, support, and advocate for local businesses.” It aims to help drive economic development and enhance the communities of the Southern part of the county.
