Thousands are expected to gather this Saturday evening in downtown Butler for the 57th annual Spirit of Christmas Parade.
This is the City’s only nighttime parade with a kick off of 5:30 p.m. Over 80 groups have entered the parade, which will showcase floats, marching bands, dance group, local first responders, and more.
There will also be events planned for kids in the Peoples parking lot at the corner of Main and North Streets beginning at 2 p.m. There will be face painting, a balloon artist, and a scratch-and-win game for kids ages 10 and younger.
This year’s parade has the theme of Celebrating the Sights and Sounds of Christmas and will also be broadcast on Armstrong’s Neighborhood Channel at a later date.
The Spirit of Christmas Parade is presented by Butler Radio and Peoples, an essential utilities company.
