Thousands are expected to gather in downtown Butler Saturday evening for the annual Spirit of Christmas Parade.
It’s the 59th edition of the parade that kicks off the Christmas season.
Nearly 100 entries, including floats, firetrucks, marching bands, and dance teams will parade up Main Street Saturday night.
The parade officially starts at 5:30 p.m. heading south on Penn Street and finishing at the Diamond.
No parking will be allowed on Main Street starting at 4 p.m. It will then close to traffic at 4:30 p.m. The normal detour will be in place.
The parade will be recorded and aired at a later date on the Armstrong Neighborhood Channel.
This year’s parade is once again presented by Peoples Gas.
