The annual Spirit of Christmas Parade is coming back this year.
It’s scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving on Main Street in downtown Butler.
The theme of the parade this year is a Superhero Christmas, so floats are encouraged to use the theme as a basis for their design.
However, there will be some changes to the pre-parade activities on Main Street for safety reasons. Butler Radio Network General Manager Vicki Hinterberger.
“So the necessary precautions on our part, to keep people safe, we have eliminated a lot of the pre-parade activities that we’ve conducted in the past that were for goodwill in the community and for children,” Butler Radio Network General Manager Vicki Hinterberger said.
The parade is also supported in part by Peoples, which will have face painting and balloon art for kids in their Main Street parking lot.
