March is Women’s History Month and Slippery Rock University is marking the occasion with a number of special events.
SRU’s The Women’s Center hosts multiple events throughout the year but the events planned for this month will also aim to educate men on topics they might not normally seek out.
Those events include a discussion on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion titled “Where Am I in Feminism?” today from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Smith Student Center as well as an interactive program March 21st also in the Smith Student Center titled “Together We Rise: A Celebration of Womanhood”.
Also, the Center is sponsoring a faculty and student panel discussion March 26th at 7 p.m. in the Smith Student Center Theater called “The Period Panel” to demystify the historical, biological, and sociological aspects of menstruation.
