February is Black History Month and Slippery Rock University has numerous programs planned to mark the occasion.
More than 20 in-person and virtual activities will begin with a movie screening of The Woman King tonight at 7 p.m. at the Smith Student Center Theater.
African American Heritage Day at the SRU Men’s and Women’s basketball games is planned for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Morrow Field House.
Other activities sponsored by SRU’s Office for Inclusive Excellence this month include Black History Month Speaker, radio host and TV personality Charlamagne tha God on February 22nd at the Performing Arts Center and the Ebony Ball on February 24th at the Smith Student Center Ballroom.
