January is National Mentoring Month and Slippery Rock University is giving students opportunities to be mentors and receive mentorship.
SRU’s Emerging Leadership Experience offers weekly meetings for first year students to develop personal leadership through co-curricular experiences.
This program is coordinated by SRU’s Office of Student Engagement and Leadership and includes 20 peer mentors as well as about 130 freshmen and first semester transfer students being mentored.
