Another top administrator at Slippery Rock University has been let go.
According to a release from the SRU Communications Department, Dr. Amir Mohammadi is no longer the university’s senior vice president for administration, global engagement, economic development, and chief administration officer.
SRU President Dr. Bill Behre says that position has been eliminated with responsibilities being consolidated under the newly appointed vice president for finance and administration, Carrie Birckbichler. Behre stated that this move brings greater efficiency and cost savings while matching the structure found at other PASSHE institutions.
Behre thanked Mohammadi for his years of service in a position he has held since 2019. This move follows Abbey Zink being removed as the university’s provost earlier this month.
